Mike Federer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In 1996, Mike Federer founded DEPOT Hauswaren AG. The Zurich-based store \u2013 now known as THE BATH SHOP AG \u2013 specialises in traditional, high-quality bathroom products. Over the years, interior projects have increasingly complemented the original business. The aesthetic approach \u2013 traditional and classic \u2013 has remained unchanged. The expertise, however, has continued to evolve.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Wassily Federer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In 2017, the son, Wassily Federer, joined the family business. In 2020, Mike and Wassily Federer took over the distribution of LACANCHE for all of Switzerland, along with the new showroom at Pfalzgasse, just next door to THE BATH SHOP.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

1996<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

From the very beginning we have worked with small factories that were still making original shapes by hand. Unfortunately, some small manufactories have closed or moved their production out of Europe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To carry on with our vision of products that couldn\u2019t be found on the market, we started to have basins, taps, accessories, toilets and much more, made to our own design. We develop, research and work with keenness and passion on details and quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We work together with renowned companies in England, France and Italy. All items are made under fair conditions, respecting the applied European norms. Sustainability and durability are taken in to account, a contribution to our environment. Our spare parts department will enable any repair to our products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2020<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

LACANCHE a brand that has been a household name in Switzerland since the 1990s. Until now, a friend and long-standing business partner, Mat\u00e9riaux d'Execption or Lacanche Fourneaux de France S\u00e0rl, has been distributing the traditional ranges in French-speaking Switzerland. Due to his age, he would like to slowly discontinue the business and is looking for a successor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By coincidence, a shop space next to our main showroom becomes available. As the kitchen sector is familiar to us, and with several interior design projects already realised, we decide to take the step \u2013 and are able to take over the distributorship successfully. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After extensive renovation work and a number of challenges due to the pandemic, we are able to open the new showroom on 31 March 2022. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the renowned LACANCHE brand, THE HOUSE SHOP offers a curated selection of other products. We also take on kitchen planning and interior design projects.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Sustainability and quality<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our primary concern is that qualified personnel install our products. Your plumber will provide the appropriate installation. We expect the installer to take responsibility which is why we supply our goods only through him. Of course, you can buy simple items such as a soap dish or a towel rack directly from us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
